Jawaharlal Aviation Institute is offering CAR 147 Basic AME training in B1.1 (Aeroplane Turbine) Mechanical stream & B2 Avionics stream in line with DGCA regulations. Student enrolled under Category B1.1 (Aeroplane Turbine) is trained to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License for the maintenance performed on aircraft structure and Power plant. Students Student enrolled under Category B2 Avionics Stream is trained to obtain an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License for the maintenance performed on aircraft Electrical, Radio & Instrument systems
The complete syllabus (Modules ) are divided in to 04 Semesters (total of 2400 hrs of Training) which also include 288 Hrs for B1(Mechanical Stream) & 328 Hrs for B2(Avionics Stream) of practical training at Maintenance Repair Organization of AI Engineering Services Limited (AIESL) Trivandrum approved by Directorate General Civil Aviation (DGCA).
This Institute conducts practical training in addition to class room studies. JAI also have separate Lab/ workshop on Sheet metal repair, general engineering, welding, Airframe, Piston engine, jet engine, Avionics, Instrument ,Radio Radar and also separate hangar space to accommodate serviceable aircrafts Learjet 25B and Cessna 152. This institute ensures prescribed syllabus and curriculum as per DGCA norms so as the student can appear for the module (License) examinations conducted by the DGCA for obtaining a license in the particular stream
This Institute has been signed Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with AI Engineering Services limited Trivandrum to undertake of practical training on Aircraft Air bus 320 & Boeing 787.
